January 5, 2008 – A New Beginning ‘We Got Work to Do”

WOLCM was charged to demonstrate their faith for the next 40 days by working towards holiness and perfection in Christ Jesus.

February 2, 2008 – “Free to Flow” IMPACT Song Contest Demetrius, De Angello and Frosty performed the winning songs “Hands Up High” and “Reality” at the Free to Flow contest. The Youth were inspired to create and perform an original rap or song lyrics about living a spiritual and saved life. Reverend Robert Mc Cottrell brought a powerful Word of Life message.


February 4, 2008 – Community Town Hall Meeting

WOLCM hosted the community town meeting along with the Save the School Coalition and the Alumni Association. Du Warren served as the moderator and presented questions and concerns to a panel of community leaders. Teachers, students and the community are concerned about the recent change proposed by the CPS to hire a consultant firm to run the school academic affairs.


March 1, 2008 – Neighborhood Impact


March 10, 2008 – Crane Guest Speaker

Du Warren spoke to the Crane students in regards to the premature death of a student shot during an after school fight. The students were comforted and challenged to unload and stop packing hate and bitterness;
